Profile

Research interests

My main interest is to understand the evolutionary processes in speciation that explain biodiversity on earth. Our model organism group are marine slugs (the Opisthobranchia/Heterobranchia), that exhibit a large variety of biological phenomena which are rather unique within these animals. We use a broad range of methods to study these phenomena including molecular and morphological-histological analyses as well as behavioral and ecological studies.
