Description

2010

“Fritz (1822-1897) and Hermann Müller (1829-1883) – natural research ‘for Darwin’“ was the title of a symposium hosted by the “Biohistoricum” on the 27th and 28th of November 2010 in the lecture hall of the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig (ZFMK). This symposium presented various and partly unknown details about the important early darwinists, the Müller brothers. It worked as a successor to a scientific congress with the title “Hermann Müller-Lippstadt (1829-1883) – Naturforscher und Pädagoge” that took place on the 27th of September 2008 in the Ostendorf-Gymnasium in Lippstadt.

Both symposia focused on the importance of the Müller brothers for the biological research and especially for the theory of evolution and all its features. Scientists from all over Germany and Brasil value their work from various scientific perspectives.
