Description

The BiNHum project is a joint project of the Humboldt-Ring represented by the natural history research collections and museums in Berlin, Bonn, Karlsruhe, Munich and Stuttgart. It should target the IT component for object-oriented collection digitization in the composite. Specifically, it is about the development and editing of existing decentralized distributed digital object data, testing and adaptation of established database systems, legwork for the proposed or funded projects to collection digitizing and provision of IT solutions, linking the information to international initiatives such as GBIF and the development of an own data portal.
