Special exhibition

The University of Bonn and the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig show for the first time how seven of their collections, museums and objects are closely interwoven. In the spirit of Alexander von Humboldt, they represent a networked universe of object worlds, which includes the specialist disciplines from the humanities and natural sciences. On the basis of selected objects, the exhibition addresses this cosmos of object worlds in a form of science and research that is today more than ever mutually fruitful.

The exhibition is part of the joint project, funded since December 2016 by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), "The Collections - One Cosmos. From the networking science of Alexander von Humboldt to object-based knowledge arrangements in the "Netzzeitalter" “.
