Stipends for Junior Scientists from developing countries

The organizational Committee of the 92nd Annual Meeting of the DGS is calling for applications for conference stipends for Junior Scientists from developing countries who work on African mammals. The conference will take place at the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig (ZFMK) in Bonn from 17th to 20th Sept. 2018.

Successful applicants are required to present their work in an oral presentation during the conference, and will have the opportunity to work in the mammal collection of the ZFMK for three weeks in September. Stipends will cover travel expenses and accommodation (in the Museum guest rooms) up to a total amount of 1,500 EUR.

PhD students or researchers in their first postdoc project are eligible to apply. The application should include a short description of the research project (1-2 pages) and a CV including a list of publications (if applicable). A letter of recommendation from a supervisor or another senior scientist can be included in the application, but this is not mandatory.

Applications (PDF files) have to be sent via email to DGS2018 [at] leibniz-zfmk [dot] de until
15th June 2018. All applications will be evaluated by a jury consisting of ZFMK scientists.
