I'm a Chilean Biologist trying to understand how species adapt to their environment and evolve.
At the moment I'm carrying out a PhD in the zoological research Institute and Museum Koenig (ZFMK) in Bonn, Germany. My research focus is in Darwin's frog population and conservation status.
I'm currently working in two projects:
Since 2006 I carry out the Rhinoderma project (Germany) surveying Darwins' frog populations, monitoring populations, studying their ecology, analyzing their environment requirements and sickness (Chytrids).
In 2008 the Rhinoderma conservation Project started, which consists in a captive breeding facility in Concepcion University, a breeding area in Huilo-huilo and protection and educational programs.
The projects are supported by: Chester Zoo, Leipzig Zoo, ZGAP, Reptilia, Concepción University, Huilo-huilo foundation and SAG. And I'm a DAAD-Becas Chile scholarship holder.
