Rules
Sketching is permitted in pencil, crayon, pastel, and charcoal. The use of any wet medium including ink, fountain pen, or watercolor is not permitted at any time. While sketching, please do not hinder the normal traffic flow in the galleries.
Respect for Museum objects: Do not touch any of the objects in the museum with the exception of the hands-on exhibits. The invisible oil on your fingertips will leave a film on any surface touched. Over time, these marks will attract dust and pollutants from the air, damaging and obscuring exhibits.
The use of flash photography is not permitted in any of the galleries.
Please remember that a museum is a place for concentration and thought. Although discussion is encouraged, voices should be kept respectfully low at all times in the galleries.
