The governing body of the Convention on Biological Diversity will have its ninth meeting (“COP 9”) in Bonn (Germany ) May 19-30, 2008 . The associated scientific meeting “Biodiversity Research – Safeguarding the Future“ will take place from May 12 – 16, 2008 in Bonn, to introduce the results of and the need for biodiversity research to the political discussion.
